OVERVIEW of Position
- Support Pantry Lead in any activities related to pantry inventories: support volunteers in identifying donations, pick ups, organization of shelves, clean up, etc.
- Assist Pantry & Programs Leads to cover client pantry shopping time slots.
- Potentially engage with clients & business partners to identify inventory needs.
- Support Pantry Lead to develop corp & business relationships to increase donations or other support opportunities.
- Understand & follow established guidelines in all interactions with venders; working with volunteers, solicitation guidelines, etc.
- Fully document all actions into approved tracking systems.
Position Responsibilities
- Position will directly support Pantry Lead.
- Cover all inventory tasks; check in, stock, rotate inventories to follow food safety guidelines.
- Identify shortfalls, specific needs to meet client needs.
- Develop list of volunteers available to support activities.
- Help cover any shortfalls in volunteer time slots to cover pantry tasks.
- Become familiar with & maintain proficiency in current tracking programs to fully document all conversations & actions.
- Maintain confidentiality in interactions, where appropriate, escalating identified concerns or issues quickly to Pantry Lead.
- Other duties as assigned by Pantry Lead

- Ability to meet goals & milestones; comfortable managing multiple tasks with efficiency & accountability.
- Computer systems proficiency, ability to learn & support existing systems for tracking all resources, conversations & actions.
- Comfortable being empathetic while maintaining boundaries.
- Comfortable assessing situations that may need to be escalated; follow the defined escalation process.
- Flexibility in assigned tasks as each interaction may have differing time commitment or activities requirements.
Relationships Interactions
- Works volunteers, Pantry & Programs Leads, 3 rd party ministries, & other team members.
Time Commitment
- 8 – 10 hours per week, covering assigned time slot & activities.
