OVERVIEW of Position

  • Assists Office & Operations Lead by overseeing all aspects of Program’s financial requirements.
  • Strong leadership to maintain fiscal accountability for all Program’s interactions with donors, clients, 3 rd party ministries or any financial transactions.
  • Understands & follows all processes for escalation of any identified concerns.
  • Understands & interacts with contractors, donors, clients, team members &/or volunteers who may have any access to financial processes or accounting systems.
  • Documents all actions in agreed tracking format.

Position Responsibilities

  • Position requires a general understanding of the current financial systems & ongoing transactions.
  • General knowledge of financial reporting laws & banking community in Louisville area.
  • Other duties as agreed & assigned by Team Leader.

Position Skills

  • Familiar with financial systems, including tracking, reporting & tax requirements for non-profits.
  • Knowledgeable of non-profit operations, local philanthropic & Louisville banking communities.
  • Comfortable assessing situations that may need to be escalated.
  • Efficiency in managing assigned tasks.
  • Willingness to cover other tasks in support of Operations Lead.

Relationships Interactions

  • Works directly with current donors, team members, outside organizations & banks, much of the time
    working independently.

Time Commitment

  • 2 – 4 hours per week; timing is directly determined by financial cycles or identified projects.
