The Easter Bunny is coming, but as a parent, Easter can get quite expensive. We are here to tell you that Easter doesn’t have to break the budget!

Easter is such a fun holiday for the kids, but if you are a single parent, like me, it can bring on some stress and anxiety. Providing your child, a great holiday experience on a single income can be stressful, BUT… it doesn’t have to be.

Here are a few ideas for a great Easter experience that won’t break your budget.

Crafts

Making a fun craft with your kids is a great way to spend some quality time together and make something cute, fun and almost free. Get your crafty with your kids this Easter! Here is a fun (and adorable) bunny mask craft.

Baking

Spend some time with your kids by baking something together! Delicious cookies, or an Easter Sugar Cookie Pie! A lot of great memories can be made together in the kitchen.

Games

There are plenty of fun games you can play with your kids on Easter, like an Egg Spoon Race, and don’t forget the classic Easter egg hunt! Whatever you do, make it fun and special!

Coloring Easter Eggs

This has been a favorite Easter tradition of mine since I was a little girl, and now it is one of my daughter’s favorite traditions. Dying easter eggs is a fun, budget friendly activity to enjoy with the kids.

Free Easter Egg Hunts

Many churches or companies will host community Easter egg hunts, sometimes even a visit from the Easter bunny! Chances are you can find these events on Facebook events tab or Googling “Easter egg hunts near me”. If you are in or around the Louisville area, check out Louisville Family Fun for a list of local Easter events.

Easter Baskets

You do not have to spend a ton of money on those pre-made Easter baskets. The Dollar Tree has a great assortment of fun, Easter themed toys and treats. You can also include your craft and egg dying supplies in their Easter baskets as well!

These are just a few ideas that will hopefully help you to enjoy this Easter with your kids, without stressing about your budget.

HAPPY EASTER YOU ALL!
