Dear Sparc Hope Family,

I wanted to thank you all for your help and support. Since COVID-19 has been present, life has changed drastically for my daughter. I am currently working remotely at home, until further notice. Kaylee’s school will not be opening for the remainder of this school year.

We have been able to spend time together at home, which our dog Mali has enjoyed very much! During this experience we’ve gone hiking on sunny days, keeping our six feet distance, or taking the dog on walks to keep us all active. As for hobbies, while staying at home, I have recently enjoyed organizing and cleaning! From working 7 days a week to being at home all day, 7 days a week, sure has taken a big turn on my availability to clean the house! The one thing my daughter enjoys about staying home and continuing the remote work online is because she can sleep in longer than a typical school day. I personally enjoy the time I’ve been able to spend with my daughter and even though this pandemic is a horrible thing, I am gracious I get to spend it with her.

One thing I have learned during my time at home is, anything is possible and how quickly a nation can shut down is scary. My daughter truly misses her class and misses’ school. I even miss going to work onsite. We are ready for America to start moving again! Before I go, I do happen to have one question? If a child refuses to sleep during nap time, are they guilty of resisting a rest? Stay safe and best wishes!

Sincerely, David S.
